Reviews and Ratings
Staying at this ryokan in Kyoto was a unique experience. The rooms were spacious and clean, featuring traditional futons on tatami mats and an enjoyable indoor balcony with a view of Kyoto Tower. The service was incredibly helpful, from their English explanations to the friendly assistance of the staff, including holding our bags and providing advice. However, the location required taxis for access to main areas, and the surroundings felt a bit limited in terms of activities. Overall, a comfortable and friendly stay with some minor limitations.
Staying at this ryokan was a mixed experience. The rooms were small but nice, typical for a ryokan, with futons on tatami mats. It was convenient that the rooms are separated, especially when traveling with someone else. However, the location wasn't ideal for visiting main areas like Gion and Ponto-cho as it required taking taxis. The service was friendly and accommodating, providing a special memory foam pillow, but the dining options were limited and expensive.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic overall. The futon beds were extremely comfortable, and the service provided by the staff was top-notch. The room was clean and cozy, making me feel right at home. However, the lack of convenient stores nearby was a minor inconvenience.
